The
compost, also called compost or composed, is the result of decomposition and of 'humification a mixture of organic materials (such as prunings, kitchen scraps, manure , sewage or waste of gardening as leaves and grass clippings) by macro and micro under particular conditions: the presence of oxygen and balance between chemical elements involved in the transformation of matter.
The process, called composting, is controlled and accelerated by man. Among the macro-organisms include insects, earthworms and mushrooms.
Compost can be used as fertilizer on or before the meadows ' plowing. Its use, with the addition of organic matter improves soil structure and bioavailability of nutrients (nitrogen ). As a biological activator also increases biodiversity microflora in the soil.
